16.88.1

yā āpo yāś ca devatā
yā virāḍ brahmaṇā saha |
śarīraṃ brahma prāviśac
charīre 'dhi prajāpatiḥ ||

16.88.2

sūryaś cakṣur vātaḥ prāṇaṃ
puruṣasya vi bhejire |
athāsyetaram ātmānaṃ
devāḥ prāyacchann agnaye ||

16.88.3

tasmād vai vidvān puruṣam
idaṃ brahmeti manyate |
sarvā hy asmin devatāḥ
śarīre 'dhi samāhitāḥ ||

16.88.4

yadaibhya sthānam aṅgeṣu
pitā lokām̐ akalpayat |
śarīraṃ sarvā devatā
yathāṅgam anu prāviśan ||

16.88.5

aṅgamaṅgaṃ śarīrasya
sarve devā anu prāviśan |
pitā hy ebhyaḥ prāyacchat
taṃ lokam aparājitam ||

16.88.6

taṃ lokam aparājitaṃ
sarve devā anu prāviśan |
prajāpatir yam ābharac
charīraṃ bahudhā hitam ||
