2.72.1

अग्निर् द्युम्नेन सूर्यो ज्योतिषा
द्यौर् महिम्नान्तरिक्षं व्यचसा ।
दिश आशाभिः पृथिवी पयोभिर्
इदं राष्ट्रं वर्धयन्तु प्रजावत् ॥

2.72.2

त्वष्टा रूपेण सविता सवेन-
-अहर् मित्रेण वरुणेन रात्री ।
पूषा पुष्टैर् भगो अंशेन भक्त्या-
-इदं राष्ट्रं वर्धयन्तु प्रजावत् ॥

2.72.3

यां विश्वकर्मा निजघान मेथिम्
अन्तरा द्यावापृथिवी उभे ।
तस्या आहुः क्षत्रियं गर्भम् एतं
परि माव पत्था मूर्धनि धारयस्व ॥

2.72.4

छन्दांस्य् अस्या अभितो मयूखा
स्तोमा आत्मा यजुर् अस्याः पुरीषम् ।
तस्या आहुः क्षत्रियं निर्मितं परि
माव पत्था मूर्धनि धारयस्व ॥

2.72.5

परा णुदस्व व्यथयाभिमातिम्
अधस्पदं कृणुष्व दुर्धरायतः ।
मा त्वा दभन् सपत्ना दिप्सन्तस्
तव राष्ट्रम् उत्तमं द्युम्नम् अस्तु ॥
