અગ્નિર્ દ્યુમ્નેન સૂર્યો જ્યોતિષા
દ્યૌર્ મહિમ્નાન્તરિક્ષં વ્યચસા ।
દિશ આશાભિઃ પૃથિવી પયોભિર્
ઇદં રાષ્ટ્રં વર્ધયન્તુ પ્રજાવત્ ॥

2.72.2

ત્વષ્ટા રૂપેણ સવિતા સવેન-
-અહર્ મિત્રેણ વરુણેન રાત્રી ।
પૂષા પુષ્ટૈર્ ભગો અંશેન ભક્ત્યા-
-ઇદં રાષ્ટ્રં વર્ધયન્તુ પ્રજાવત્ ॥

2.72.3

યાં વિશ્વકર્મા નિજઘાન મેથિમ્
અન્તરા દ્યાવાપૃથિવી ઉભે ।
તસ્યા આહુઃ ક્ષત્રિયં ગર્ભમ્ એતં
પરિ માવ પત્થા મૂર્ધનિ ધારયસ્વ ॥

છન્દાંસ્ય્ અસ્યા અભિતો મયૂખા
સ્તોમા આત્મા યજુર્ અસ્યાઃ પુરીષમ્ ।
તસ્યા આહુઃ ક્ષત્રિયં નિર્મિતં પરિ
માવ પત્થા મૂર્ધનિ ધારયસ્વ ॥

પરા ણુદસ્વ વ્યથયાભિમાતિમ્
અધસ્પદં કૃણુષ્વ દુર્ધરાયતઃ ।
મા ત્વા દભન્ સપત્ના દિપ્સન્તસ્
તવ રાષ્ટ્રમ્ ઉત્તમં દ્યુમ્નમ્ અસ્તુ ॥
