ઉદ્ ઇત્યે અક્રમન્ ત્રયો
વ્યાઘ્રઃ પુરુષો વૃકઃ ।
હિરુગ્ જ્યોતિઃ સૂર્યો
હિરુગ્ દેવો વનસ્પતિર્
હિરુઙ્ નવન્તુ શત્રવઃ ॥

પરમેણ પથા વૃકઃ
પરેણ સ્તેનો અર્ષતુ ।
તતો વ્યાઘ્રઃ પરમઃ ॥

2.8.3

અક્ષ્યૌ ચ તે હનૂ ચ તે
વ્યાઘ્ર જમ્ભયામસિ ।
આત્ સર્વાન્ વિંશતિં નખાન્ ॥

2.8.4

યત્ સંનશો વિ યન્ નશો
યદ્ ?વિનશો ન સં નશઃ ? ।
મૂર્ણા મૃગસ્ય દન્તા
અપિશીર્ણા ઉ પૃષ્ટયઃ ॥

વ્યાઘ્રં દત્વતાં વયં
પ્રથમં જમ્ભયામસિ ।
આદ્ ઇત્ સ્તેનમ્ અહિં
યાતુધાનમ્ અથો વૃકમ્ ॥

નેવ રપ્સસૈ
ન ગૃહઃ પરશ્ ચર ।
દ્વિપાચ્ ચતુષ્પાન્ નો મા હિંસીર્
ઇન્દ્રજાઃ સોમજા અસિ ॥
