iṣé tvorjé tvā

śúcī vo havyā́ imé dhūpā́ḥ

dhārāsu saptasú

idám ā́paś śivā́ḥ

ápa undantu jīváse

ā́po vā́ idá(g)ṃ sárvam

índrā-viṣṇū havíṣā vāvŕ̥dhānā́grādhvānā námasā rātahavyā

[*836] VMP divides this verse making the second line the first line of chapter 98. The numbering is adjusted so that the complete verse comes at the end of chapter 97.
