सैषा भीमा ब्रह्मगव्य् अघविषा
कृत्या कूल्बजम् आवृता
सर्वाण्य् अस्यां क्रूराणि सर्वे च मृत्यवः
सर्वाण्य् अस्यां घोराणि सर्वे च पुरुषवधाः ॥

16.142.2

सा ब्रह्मज्यं ब्रह्मगव्य् आदीयमाना
मृत्योः पड्वीश आ द्यति ।
मेनिः शतवधा हि सा
ब्रह्मज्यस्य क्षितिर् हि सा ॥

16.142.3

तस्माद् वै ब्राह्मणानां गौर्
दुराधर्षा विजानता ।
वैश्वानर उद्वीता
महादेवो ऽपेक्षमाणा
वज्रो धावन्ती
हेतिः शफान् उत्खिदन्ती ॥

16.142.4

क्षुरपविर् ईक्षमाणा
मृत्युर् हिङ्कृण्वती ।
वाश्यमानाभि स्फूर्जति
ब्रह्मगवी ब्रह्मज्यम् ॥
